The Constructed Image: Still Life/Staged/Performing for the Camera
Mesa Community College
For the final project of ART131, the instructions were, “instead of only looking, you will now be actively constructing what is in front of the camera with your own hands. You are to create something and photograph it.”
What I could do for this project was quite broad. I could have made a staged photo, a diorama, a still life, a photoshop digital composite, an illustrated dream, a visual poem, glitch art, and so on. I went with creating mainly photoshop digital composites, taking multiple pictures and combining them into one photo for each or heavily editing the photo to give it a surreal and dream-like style.
