Women’s Studies: A Radical Sketchbook Project

Rather than a class assignment, this is volunteer work I am doing for one of my past professors, Dr. Carla Wilson. She needed a logo and flyers made for this new project she started recently. Because this project is focused on women and gender studies, expressing what students have learned or expressing their own experiences through a sketchbook, I wanted the main logo to represent both the sketchbook and a bookmark. I’ve made alternate shape versions to use for different things like the circular logo is for stickers that will be passed out at future events. For the actual spring event, I designed a flyer for print, social media, and TV. I waned this flyer to look playful and slightly handmade with the ripped paper and wonky cut out symbols. In the end, I like how everything turned out and I can’t wait to make more stuff for this project!
