In VC202, we had a project to design one poster and two spreads around a typeface of our choice. I decided to go with Helvetica once I found out what typeface was used on the iconic NYC subway signs. From there I wanted my poster and spreads to be heavily inspired by subway maps and the signage since I felt that would be the most recognizable and a way to show how famously common this typeface is.
